<\/figure>\n\n\n\nSteve responded, \u201cDesign isn\u2019t just about outward appearance; it\u2019s about attitude. Minimalism isn\u2019t about doing less, but about knowing what to keep and what to let go.\u201d Looking back on his 40-year career, he recalled his initial motto, \u201cEnjoy Life, Enjoy Design,\u201d and how he developed a philosophy of \u201cdesign with measure,\u201d emphasizing balance and control. He added, \u201cMany people misunderstand me, thinking I do minimalist design, but I emphasize that \u2018no limit\u2019 is the key. Design isn\u2019t about quantity, but about achieving the right level of simplicity.\u201d He believes that true inheritance involves continuous reflection and adjustment to find one\u2019s own balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI believe that true wealth lies in understanding between people, in that intangible emotional connection.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Multiple Facets of Inheritance <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Steve hopes to jointly shape the company\u2019s future direction with his son. He said, \u201cI\u2019ve always believed that long-term business development relies not only on skills but also on vision and management. I hope he can view the business from a different and fresh perspective.\u201d Nicholas is also gaining cross- disciplinary experience, learning management and public service to bring new vitality to the company\u2019s future. He candidly shared, \u201cThe essence of design is service\u2014meeting needs and solving problems. That\u2019s what I\u2019ve learned in the company.\u201d Steve added \u201cI have always believed that giving children the space to pursue their own dreams is the most precious gift. I never expected my son would join the company \u2014 this is simply the right timing.\u201d The\u201ctiming\u201d he refers to was when Nicholas\u2019s wife gave birth to their daughter two years ago, prompting him to reflect on a new stage of life. This milestone led him to decide to collaborate with his father on work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When discussing wealth, Nicholas offered a profound perspective: \u201cWealth isn\u2019t just money; it\u2019s the accumulation of emotions, time, health, and creativity. I believe true wealth is the understanding and connection between people \u2014 that intangible emotional bond.\u201d Reflecting on long-term family interactions, he added, \u201cThe trust and respect we share are the most valuable assets.\u201d Steve also shared his view: \u201cNow, I seek spiritual richness. Material possessions are fleeting, but what truly satisfies me are the connections with family, friends, and society. Even seeing my team settle down and have children brings me happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Steve has always believed that the ultimate goal of design is to make people feel the warmth and sense of belonging of \u201chome.\u201d \u201cThe spaces we design aim to help everyone find comfort and peace within.\u201d Nicholas also thinks: \u201cThe core of design is to build genuine connections with care. Design isn\u2019t about showing off; it\u2019s about making spaces carriers of emotion.\u201d Both father and son believe that the essence of design is a dialogue between people and space, created through emotion and value. Truly good design is about evoking a feeling of being understood and cared for.
