British Pop Art artist Andy Warhol has long held influence in the world of watchmaking, well before the revival of Piaget’s Black Tie collection in 2024. Tracing back to 1973, Warhol purchased his first Black Tie watch, which became one of the many prized pieces in his extensive collection. Over the years, his frequent appearances wearing this square-shaped timepiece helped cement the Black Tie’s iconic status.

Last year, as Piaget celebrated its 150th anniversary, the brand decided to rename the Black Tie collection as the “Andy Warhol,” paying tribute to the legendary artist. This year, Piaget has taken the collaboration even further by partnering with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to create a limited-edition timepiece inspired by Warhol’s 1986 self-portrait, Collage.
The Piaget team spent six months immersing themselves in Warhol’s artistic universe, striving to capture his distinctive vision and creative spirit in every detail of the design.

The Collage watch dial features an exquisite gemstone inlay technique, set on a black onyx base interlaced with Namibian serpentinite, pink opal, and chrysoprase to reflect the vivid artistry of Andy Warhol’s self-portrait concept. Paired with an 18K yellow gold case, the design perfectly embodies a bold artistic vision combined with Piaget’s exceptional watchmaking craftsmanship.
